Today My 1st Recipe got published Online to A Recipe Group I've been following for a year. They picked my recipe to share woot!
Here is the post:
Ms. Ashley’s Potato Roll Recipe
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Packet Yeast or 2 ¼ Teaspoons (*Proofed)
- 2/3 Cup Oil ( I use ½ butter ½ corn oil, I have also added a tablespoon Truffle Oil)
- 1 Cup Milk Scalded
- ½ Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Mash Potatoes (I have used cheesy mash and sour cream onion which have a great flavor!)
- 5 to 6 Cups Flour
- ½ Cup Warm Water
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Mix Potatoes, sugar, eggs, salt, oil, and milk
Stir in Proofed Yeast and enough Flour to make stiff dough.
Place in greased bowl and cover.
Let Rise about double in size.
Punch down and Knead. (The more it rises and punched down the lighter the dough)

Bake at 400 degrees depending on size of rolls time varies from 8 mins to 15 mins.
*****If you want to make sticky buns you can use the same recipe and after it has been kneaded you can!
Flour a surface and roll out
Using frozen butter and grater grate butter evenly over surface
Sprinkle with cinnamon and clove or nutmeg (to taste little goes a long way)
Sprinkle with dark or light brown sugar
Sprinkle with nuts and fruit of choice
Roll tightly
Cut in four finger length size rounds
Place on Parchment lined Baking sheet
Let rise again
Place pats of butter on each Roll
Bake at 400 degrees depending on size of rolls time varies from 8 mins to 15 mins.
